Foundation for a Path Forward Programs
Community Building & Silo Busting Events
Our national anti-racism event are designed to bring communities together to support one another in overcoming systemic racism, hate, discrimination, and biases. We have impacted over 500,000 people through our hybrid online-offline programs.
Anti-Racism Roadshow & Happy Hour
In order to support the dismantling of systemic racism and support the development of resilient multicultural communities, we bring together stakeholders from First Nations, faith and BIPOC communities, Anti-Racism Networks, all levels of government, businesses, and members of the public across B.C.
Through direct engagement, the Interfaith Exchange encourages breaking down the silos faith communities can exist in and building understanding and positive relationships between them.
Law Enforcement Partnerships
We work with a diverse group of law enforcement agencies, including the Vancouver Police Department, Surrey Police Department, Metro Vancouver Transit Police, and RCMP to protect communities, address BIPOC and faith community concerns with law enforcement, and improve productive cooperation.
Interfaith Community Safety and Security Committee
In response to increasing hate crimes and attacks on faith communities we have established an interfaith committee of subject matter experts and faith community leaders to provide safety and security training, best practices, and support for all faith communities.
Truth and Reconciliation
Indigenous and First Nations
The core of our Truth and Reconciliation Initiative is to work together to create policies and programs in a concerted effort that can address the harm done to Indigenous and First Nations people by colonization.
Coding in Colour
Education and Skills Training
Coding in Colour takes an intersectoral partnership approach that aims to engage over 600,000 BIPOC students and 20,000 teachers over 3 years. The program’s three primary components include Teacher training, student learning and an annual Coding in Colour Week that brings students and teachers together to engage with STEM and learn from each other in an exciting and inclusive environment.
Podcasts and Interviews
Arts and Culture
We interview inspirational community advocates, politicians, thinkers, and leaders. Topics include anti-racism, culture, faith, refugees, environmentalism, mental health, and community.
Mental Health and Wellness Support
To address challenges in our communities we work with organizations to offer programs for well-being in which people can overcome mental, physical, or emotional difficulties. This includes challenges that result from trauma due to racism and hate.
Our Refugee Support services draw on the cultural safety and human empowerment alliances we've developed among both faith communities and refugee support agencies. Key areas of focus include positive community integration, success acceleration, and culturally relevant services.
Online Mosaic: Report Hate - You Count!
Online and offline hate is a virus that can infect people and cause real world harm. We are committed to educating the public about the harms of hate and empowering them to flag, capture, and report it.
Empowering and Supporting Youth
We’re committed to building a society where every young person can easily realize their potential and achieve their goals. We believe that providing children a nurturing environment is essential to their overall development. Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders, and through personalized attention and guidance we are essentially providing them with the resources they need to thrive as leaders in years to come.
